 Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Youssef Desouky, President of Kafrelsheikh University, Prof. Dr. Reda Saleh, Vice President of Kafrelsheikh University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Dr. Amani Shaker, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, Kafrelsheikh University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sohair Magdy, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. The awareness symposium was held by the Social Solidarity Unit at Kafrelsheikh University through the awareness initiative for community development

Where Mr. Mohamed Ahmed, the unit's coordinator, introduced the unit and its axes, and Dr. Ihab Atef, the awareness activities official, presented a brief about the awareness initiative for community development.

Dr. Salam Al-Arabi, General Supervisor of Preventive Programs at the Addiction Control and Treatment Fund in Kafrelsheikh Governorate, presented the message of combating and treating addiction within the “You are stronger than drugs” campaign, in order to raise awareness of the dangers of addiction and the harmful effects of smoking on health and society. Dr. Moanes El-Qeblawy, Head of the Finance Department and Supervisor of Nasser Bank, Kafrelsheikh University Branch, presented the role of Nasser Bank in supporting recovering from addiction.
