The Faculty of Specific Education at Kafr El-Sheikh University has secured the third position in the third cycle of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects.

 The Faculty of Specific Education at Kafr El-Sheikh University has achieved third place in the medium-sized projects category of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects for its project, "Student Attendance System Using Artificial Intelligence," presented by student Zyad Ahmed Sadat Mohamed Awadin.

The results of the initiative were announced during the regional conference for the third cycle of the initiative, held in the governorates of Gharbia, Kafr El-Sheikh, and Menoufia, which are eligible to participate in the COP29 Climate Summit in Baku, Azerbaijan. This participation aligns with Egypt's Vision 2030 and the country's commitment to sustainable development. The university's participation was sponsored and attended by Dr. Abdel Razek Dessouky, President of Kafr El-Sheikh University, and Dr. Amani Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and the chairperson of the National Council for Women's branch in Kafr El-Sheikh.

The conference was held at the General Directorate of Gharbia Governorate, attended by Major General Ashraf El-Jundi, Governor of Gharbia, Major General Ibrahim Abu Leimon, Governor of Menoufia, and Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel-Maaty, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, along with a host of executive leaders.

This achievement reflects the faculty's keenness to actively participate in sustainable development projects that support innovation and creativity, contributing to finding smart solutions to environmental and societal challenges. It also underscores the university's commitment to actively contributing to realizing Egypt's Vision 2030.

Dr. Najlaa El-Ashraf, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, expressed her happiness with the achievement of her faculty members, emphasizing the importance of participating in various initiatives in stimulating creative ideas and applying innovative environmental solutions on the ground. She extended her sincere thanks and appreciation to the faculty members of the Educational Technology and Computer Science Department, led by Dr. Samir Kahof, Acting Head of the Department, for their distinguished efforts in supporting these projects and their continuous pursuit of innovating new and environmentally friendly ideas that keep pace with the rapid scientific developments. She also congratulated student Zyad Awadin and the entire team on winning third place, praising their efforts in presenting this outstanding project.

It is worth noting that the initiative aims to achieve sustainable development and support entrepreneurial projects.
