Prof. Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky, President of Kafrelsheikh University, reviewed a report presented by Dr. Amr Abu Hani, Executive Director of the Projects and Information Management Unit about the unit's harvest.
This came under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Aal, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abu Wali, Director of the Quality Assurance Center.
The report stated that in the field of educational effectiveness, quality and accreditation, five projects to support and develop the educational effectiveness of higher education institutions (SDEE) have been completed in the faculties of medicine, dentistry, fisheries, nursing and education, with a total amount of 12.5 million Egyptian pounds allocated from the Project Management Unit at the Ministry of Higher Education and an amount of 5 million pounds. Egyptian from the university budget.
A contract has also been signed for 2 projects to support and develop the educational effectiveness of SDEE institutions in the faculties of computers, information and arts, with a total of 4 million Egyptian pounds from the Development Projects Management Unit at the Ministry of Higher Education, and an amount of 3 million Egyptian pounds from the university budget.
The Educational Effectiveness Support and Development Project aims to contribute to providing an educational and research environment that raises the level of educational effectiveness at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in order to ensure the provision of graduates with specifications that keep pace with the requirements of the labor market in preparation for programmatic, institutional and international accreditation.
The report added that in the field of international accreditation of laboratories, three projects have been completed to qualify laboratories for international accreditation at the Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital, which are the clinical toxicology laboratory, the microbiology laboratory and the flu laboratory, with a total of 7.5 million pounds from the budget of the project management unit and the university. Accurate measurements laboratory for nanotechnology applications in dentistry and gum treatment at the Faculty of Dentistry, and a laboratory for the analysis of drugs, pharmaceutical preparations and biological compounds at the Faculty of Pharmacy, with a total of “5 million and 760 thousand pounds” from the budget of the project management unit and the university.
The report pointed out to the field of measurement, evaluation, and practical and oral tests that three development projects for measurement and evaluation systems at the university have been completed, which included the establishment of the measurement and evaluation center at the university and the number of 2 centers in the faculties of Physical Education and Arts, with a total budget of 3 million and 300 thousand Egyptian pounds.
The report dealt with the College of Pharmacy obtaining a project from the Higher Education Development Projects Management Unit - Ministry of Higher Education in the field of developing practical and oral test evaluation systems entitled "Improving the effectiveness of measuring students' practical and oral competencies using modern technology" with a total funding of 2 million Egyptian pounds over two years, as the support amounted to The financial requirement of the project management unit is one million and 125 thousand Egyptian pounds, and the total support provided by the university is 875 thousand Egyptian pounds.
The project aims to update the evaluation system and practical and oral tests in line with regional and international requirements and the new national academic reference standards to ensure that students acquire the competencies and skills required in the global labor market, by updating the practical content and benefiting from the technological development in the means of education, such as learning through virtual laboratories. Virtual Lab" and "Virtual reality (Metaverse)" simulation methods, in addition to developing oral tests to assess students' ability to communicate skills and use scientific vocabulary between the medical team and the participants in an effective manner through tried oral tests using electronic meeting programs to adjust the individual evaluation of each student individually as well as Establishing a unified and fixed mechanism for evaluating students.
The report indicated that in the field of entrepreneurship, a project to establish the Entrepreneurship Center has been completed, with a total budget of one and a half million.
In the field of student excellence, 2 student excellence projects have been completed in the faculties of Agriculture and Fisheries, with a total amount of 150 thousand Egyptian pounds. Blasphemy Sheikh is an illusion (programs for preparing the teacher of art education, the program for preparing the teacher of home economics, the educational media program specializing in journalism, radio and television, and the educational media program specializing in school theater.
The files of a number of colleges and university programs are being uploaded in preparation for applying for accreditation to achieve the main goal, which is the accreditation of Kafrelsheikh University from the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation.
