Kafrelsheikh Governorate

 

 

 

 

Kafrelsheikh is one of the governorates of Egypt.  Its capital is Kafrelsheikh. It is located in the far north of Egypt and overlooks the Mediterranean Sea with a coastal length of 100 km located in the center of the Nile Delta, 120 km north of Cairo and 90 km east of Alexandria. The province is famous for its rice cultivation, 30% of the Republic's production (It also produces cotton, wheat, barley, and maize). It has been the leading province in the cultivation of sugar beet since 1982.  This crop supplies the plant for producing beet sugar and other industrial products. For more info, please visit:
