The Egyptian Cultural
Center in Athens mentions that Greek scholarship foundation at Greek Ministry
of Education, Research and Religious Affairs announces about number of
scholarships for non-Greeks to study Modern Greek language and attend seminars
about Greek culture for the academic year 2017/2018 as the following:
1) Period of scholarship: eight months (from October 2017 to May 2018)
2) Field of scholarship: modern Greek language and Greek culture
3) Place of scholarship: in one of the following universities (Athens
University, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Loannina University and Crete
University)
4) The scholarship covers: tuition expenses, residence in student housing,
free meals, medical insurance in case of emergency, monthly salary 150 euros in
addition to 200 euros as expenses for arrival and start scholarship
5) The deadline for application: 11 September 2017

Terms of scholarship:
1) The applicant should have a nationality,
but not a Greek nationality
2) The applicant should have university
certificate from non-Greek university
3) The applicant should not be more than 40
years ago from first January 2017
4) This scholarship aims to develop
candidates’ knowledge about Greek language and culture in a way that enhance
their opportunities in working in this field in their countries.

1) Application form
2) Modern C.V in Greek or English language
3) Accredited copies of university grades
4) Knowledge certificate of Greek Language (if
found) or English or French Language
5) Two recommendation letters from professor
6) Written statement indicates that the
applicant works a teacher for Greek language (if he is)
7) Modern health certificate from general
hospital or other indicates that the applicant is free of infectious diseases
8) Copy of valid passport

Application and accreditation of required certificates is through Greek
diplomatic mission in Cairo (consulate and Greek cultural center)

The central administration does not bear any expenses of these
scholarships
