Post-Graduation Studies Council Decides to Establishing Research Groups

Post-graduation studies and research council agrees on Wednesday 15/3/2015 under the authority of the vice president for post-graduation studies and research Prof Dr el Saied Mohamed Hegazy and its minutes is accredited from the president about establishing research groups i.e.(Team Work).

·         To accomplish distinguished researches in quantity and quality to elevate the university rank regionally and internationally as well as to find practical solutions for community problems and improve the standard of living.

·         Research groups consist of groups affiliated to related specialisms as well as interfacial disciplines which serve and complete different specialisms with research experience to ensure quality and production intensity and to adopt the leadership of young researches of Master's Degree and Doctorate researchers to acquire them with research experts and practical and applied skills.

 

·         Controls and conditions of application for research groups:

1)      The main researcher takes charge of the group of experienced and research excellence who has at least three published researches in magazines of (ISI) during the last two years

2)      The main researcher chooses a name for research group which expresses the field of its activity and specialism

3)      Specialisms should be multiple and interrelated within research group

4)      The researcher has the right to participate in two research groups at most, but not main research in more than one group.

5)      The participation of male and female students of post-graduation (at least one)

6)      The name of main researcher is required to be written in all published researches behalf of the group

7)      Group should be provided a budget from Research Support Fund in university or STDF projects through competitiveness

8)      The main researcher undertakes to provide five published researches in magazines included in ISI databases and with the impact of scientific and health specialism or three published researches in magazines included in ISI databases with the impact of social and human specialism attached by brief report for what has been accomplished.

·         Performance indicators:

1)      The ability to get more than one support during one year after achieving performance indicators

2)      The research should express thanks and appreciation to Research Support Fund in published research papers

3)      The adoption of community and international partnerships to achieve vision and aspirations that lead to innovation and excellence

4)      The development of scientific research outputs and enhances relationship between university and industry through applied researches.

5)      Registration of patents of staff members and researchers as well as investment of patents.
