Cultural affairs and missions sector (central management of missions) announces about opening the door for applying for missions plan for the third year 2014/2015 of the seventh five-year plan 2012-2017 by competitive system. The application is electronically on cultural affairs and missions website:

www.mohe-casm.edu.eg

It is available until 5/2/2015 as the following:

·         First, available fields to apply for external mission, mutual supervision, scientific mission to do postdoctoral researches and short term missions:

A)    New and Renewable Energy

B)    Desalination of water resources.

C)    Computer science and information technology.

D)    Life Sciences (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Veterinary Medicine and Physical Therapy)

E)     Agricultural Sciences and Nutrition

F)     Business Science

G)    Social, human and educational sciences

H)    Rare and modern engineering and technological sciences

 

·         Second, the terms of application for missions plan for the third year 2014/2015 according to dispatch type:

 

·         External mission for getting Doctorate:

1)      The applicant should be administrator or assistant researcher obtaining Master's Degree or assistant lecturer or assistant researcher in one of authorities listed in missions plan provided if:

A)    The applicant should not be more than 30 years old in announcement date according to the article No 11 of missions law No 112 of the year 1959 and executive committee is allowed, after taking the opinion of sending authority, to exceed the age relating to public interest (with a maximum of two years).

B)    The applicant should register for Doctorate for no more than one year of announcement date.

C)    The applicant should get Master's Degree in mission specialism

D)    The grade of university degree should be very good at least

E)     The applicant should get 550 degree in TOEFL or 79 degree in IBT or 6 degree in IELTS test (language certificate should be presented before 29/12/2014) taking into account the higher linguistic level required by Foreign Universities when traveling

F)     The applicant should do military service or is exempted from it

G)    It is not allowed for the applicant to get mission or scholarship for Doctorate before

H)    Data forms should be accredited from sending authority (accredited and sealed from the faculty and university)

 

·         Mutual supervision mission:

1)      The applicant should be administrator or assistant researcher who get Master's Degree or assistant lecturer or assistant researcher in one of authorities listed in missions plan provided if:

A)    The applicant should not be more than 35 years old

B)    The applicant should register for Doctorate as a term for application, but registration should be no more than two years of announcement date.

C)    The applicant should get Master's Degree in mission specialism

D)    The grade of university degree should be very good at least

E)     The applicant should get 500 degree in TOEFL or 61 degree in IBT or 5 degrees in IELTS test, taking into account the higher linguistic level required by Foreign Universities when traveling

F)     It is not allowed for the applicant to get mission or scholarship for Doctorate before

G)    Data forms should be accredited from sending authority (accredited and sealed from the faculty and university)

 

·         The rules of comparison for the selection of candidates for external missions, mutual supervision and short term missions:

1)      The strength of research project and how it relates to plan of social and economic development of state (40 degrees)

2)      The level of foreign university and foreign supervisor (30 degrees)

3)      Scientific background and linguistic level of applicant and its contribution in activities of sending authority (30 degrees)

·         Third: Required Documents:

1)      Certified statement of the first university degree and grade in English

2)      Statement of grades of all subjects in all years and public grade in every year separately

3)      Certified certificate proving a master's or its equivalent in English

4)      Certificate of registration date in case of he/she registered for Doctorate

5)      Modern and certified statement explains the dates of appointment in jobs and vacations of all its types

6)       Valid language certificate (the certificate is valid for two years of exam date) and the applicant should fulfill the term of language for travel prior to the implementation of the Mission.

7)      Certificate explains that the applicant has never received mission or scholarship or scientific mission through missions (internal mission, mutual supervision, external mission, scientific mission, and scholarship for state, one of programs at the expense of missions or any program funded from missions).

8)      Project of  Doctorate study plan certified from dispatch authority

9)       What stating his position of military service

10)  Preliminary approval from one or two professors on research plan taking into account academic rank of university and scientific committee has the right to differential between them.

11)  Approval of employer to apply for these missions certified from the vice president for post-graduation studies and research

12)  Mentioning the names of three professors to whom one can refer when needed with explaining how to contact with them

13)  Data forms certified in Arabic and English

 

·         Fourth, notes:

1)      Application for external mission and mutual supervision of United Kingdom and Ireland through Newton- Mosharafa

2)      Application for external missions in specialisms of civil engineering, sustainable development, construction, biomedical engineering through dual doctorate program between Alexandria University and United States Alabama Birmingham University

3)      Application for external missions for the following countries (Russia, India, China, Hungary, Poland and Mexico) through executive programs (scholarships from state)

4)      Application for scientific mission of post doctorate for countries (Russia, Czech and Denmark) through executive programs (scholarships from state)

5)      Application for short term mission before doctorate for countries (Italy, Czech, Belgium and Finland) through executive programs (scholarships from state)

 

·         Fifth, how to apply:

 

·         The applicant should apply electronically through website of cultural affairs sector:

           www.mohe-casm.edu.eg from 15/12/2014 until 5/2/2015 accompanied by all required documents and he/she should deliver the paper file with all documents to general management of mission until 5/2/2015 from 9 am until 3 pm in Tahrir complex, the fourth floor

·         Schedule:

1)      Opening the door: 7/12/2014

2)      Closing the door: 5/2/2015

3)      The announcement of nomination result: May and June 2015

4)      The mission implementation: until 31/12/2016.
