Within the activation of
cooperation contract between Kafrelsheikh University under the authority of the
President Prof Dr Maged el Kemary and East China University in Shanghai, the
vice president for post-graduation studies and research Prof Dr Mohamed Hegazi
receives a delegation from East China University in Shanghai including Dr
Zongjian Shen, Dr Kianly Sun Wijiaoly. It has been agreed with research team from
East China University and researches of departments of Geology, Geography and
Archaeology in the faculties of Science and Arts in the university under the
supervision of Dr Alaa Salim, the professor of Geology and the vice dean of the
Faculty of Science, to hold mutual scientific researches in the field of
Archaeology Geology on some sites of archaeological hills in Nile Delta through
surveys, sensors and collecting samples of sediments of these hills.
On the other hand, this
study aims to do complete model for stages of development of Nile Delta during
the Holocene and their impact on the ancient Egyptian civilization; also, it is
expected to know the nature of sediments and its signs left behind by the old
man. According to the analysis of these sediments, it will enable them to know
the places that cared of agriculture and the quality of these crops across
different ages and what is reflected of ancient climatic changes, so the two
sides will write these results and submit them for international publication.
