The letter of the supreme council of universities includes
the meeting between our ambassador in Berlin with the head of German academic
exchange institute to search the ways of benefit from vocational education
experience in Germany to be applied in Egypt and link Egyptian universities
with the needs of Labor Market including the following:
1)
Including new
projects for cooperation between the two countries within the partnership for
democratic transformation reaching the amounts allocated to Egypt for projects
in the scientific field of 7.4 million euros, noting that Egypt enjoys the
biggest share of these projects compared to the countries of the Middle East
and Africa.
2)
The exchange of
seminars between two countries as they held in the last two years seminars in
Cairo to exchange academic knowledge and build small projects with Egyptian
companies, so workshop is held between
German Maged Borg University for applied sciences and British University
in Cairo which focused on the creation of programs to create the spirit of
leadership and business among students as the university plans to support
follow-up projects with German University in Cairo especially in the field of
information technology, research and development in the scientific field.
3)
With regard to
dual character of educational system in German which links applied education to
labor market and the needs of environment, they are ready to apply this
education system in Egypt as they have planned to coordinate with their office
in Cairo to organize Egyptian mission to visit Germany for study and investigation
of Knowledge in this field. This topic will be added as a priority on the
agenda of the Ministry of Higher Education.
4)
The Authority
sponsored a number of twinning programs between Egyptian universities and
German counterparts with a focus on the possibility of recruiting Egyptian
students in Germany for limited periods to include studies programs of teaching
German and training camps in Egypt and Germany.
5)
The authority cooperates with the embassy to
study the recruitment of Egyptian manpower in Germany bearing in mind that this
jurisdiction may include other German authorities.
