Post-graduation studies and research council No 83 agrees on Sunday 15/9/2013 the book of the supreme council of universities and the accompanying letter of the Egyptian cultural office in Paris about the accreditation of facilitating common class system cotutelle; it is scientific cooperation system between Egyptian and French Universities special for the supervision over determined Doctorate thesis. Through this cooperation, it is done the following:

1)      Signing contract for this supervision between the two universities  and the student of doctorate will be party in this contract.

2)      The registration for doctorate is done in the two universities as their existence in every university should not exceed six months.

3)      Doctorate thesis will be prepared by the coordination between Egyptian and French supervisors.

4)      The discussion will be done in one the two universities by agreement (for example the Egyptian University) through mutual arbitration committee from the two universities including at least two from French University.

5)      In the case that the student passes mutual doctorate discussion, he/she will be granted two separate certificates from every university signed from the two presidents including common class system cotutelle with the other university.

6)      According to this, the general secretary of the supreme council of universities will be notified by the President with the proposals to apply this system which represents in the following:

·         First, the university welcomes the application of this system for its many advantages:

A)    This system grants the student accredited certificate from the two universities.

B)    There is no necessary for the student to get scientific mission for four years or mutual supervision for two months outside the country.

C)    International assessment  for Egyptian Universities is one of types of international cooperation which is an effective factor in the international universities assessment

·         Second, the university suggests several points that will support the implementation of this system:

1)      Determine the authority that will bear the expenses of travel and accommodation for students during six months at least or professors in the case that there is exchange for supervisor professor to follow up scholars as in mutual supervision system or professors participant in thesis discussion by the agreement between one of  the two countries

2)      Write the thesis in French Language and study language (English or Arabic) in Egyptian universities.
