Within mutual cooperation between Kafrelsheikh University and Japanese University, a symposium was held about scholarships from Japan for studying Master's Degree and Doctorate and postdoctoral doctorate for staff members as well as mutual research projects and the finance of seminars, conferences and short visits.

Prof Dr Sue Hasgawa, the manager of the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and Mr. Hideki Yamamoto, the representative of the ministry of Higher Education in Japanese Embassy in Cairo, discourse in this symposium under the authority of the President Prof Dr Maged el Kemary and the vice president for Post-graduation studies and research Prof Dr el Saied Ibrahim Hegazi.
