Universities are the engine of development in all countries, and Kafr El Sheikh University, being a prestigious and leading university at the regional and international level, has given significant importance to the sector of community service and environmental development, considering it the link between the university and the external community. Through this sector, the university's role in serving the community is realized by establishing special character units, service centers, and consulting offices to provide distinguished community services that contribute to developing the university's resources and solving community and environmental problems inside and outside the university through communication and cooperation with governmental entities and civil society organizations. Furthermore, the sector of community service and environmental development maximizes the use of university facilities and creates an advanced academic environment in line with the era of digitization, digital transformation, and contemporary developments. The sector also works on monitoring and studying many community problems and contributing to solving development issues, providing community services to the neediest segments in Kafr El Sheikh province and other provinces by actively participating in presidential initiatives supporting our people in these villages, in line with the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, that the university be a partner in all the political leadership's initiatives to serve the great people of Egypt. This includes launching comprehensive convoys (medical, therapeutic, veterinary, agricultural, developmental, and awareness-raising), organizing educational seminars, and development workshops and courses, in line with the university's strategic plan in light of Egypt's 2030 vision for sustainable development. The sector of community service and environmental development at Kafr El Sheikh University works on raising awareness and spreading culture among community members and preserving environmental safety through environmental impact assessments, linking the university with industry, discovering and nurturing talents, and supporting graduates and developing their skills to compete in the job market and prepare human cadres with scientific and professional efficiency.
