Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, announces the results of the project of strengthening the Egypt’s Family Planning Program (SEFPP) at the University in cooperation with the Supreme Council of Universities and the National Population Council, which is organized by the Social Activity Department of the General Administration of Student Welfare, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, and Dr. Mohamed Abdelaal, Vice President of the University for Education and Students’ Affairs, and under the supervision of Dr. Rushdy El-Adawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, states that the program includes the following projects: The first project: Empowering youth and supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of health and population, announcing the winning of the “Puppet Theater” project with the first place with the participation of students Mahmoud Khaled Abdel Aziz, Faculty of Engineering, Mariam Hany Badie, Faculty of Science, Rowan Tarek Saad Abdel Momen, Faculty of Nursing, Rana Tarek Saad Abdel Momen, Faculty of Nursing, and Toka Essam Ismail Mahmoud, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
The "Heparin" project wins the second place, with the participation of students Mohamed Hamdy Riyad Aref, Faculty of Physical Therapy, Mariam Abdel Salam Abdel Aleem, Faculty of Physical Therapy, Rania Mohamed Ibrahim Abu Al-Anin, Faculty of Science, Gamal Abdel Moneim Metwally, Faculty of Engineering.
The "Health Key" project wins the third place, with the participation of students Omar Ibrahim Ahmed Khairy, Faculty of Engineering, and "Capable Differently" students Mustafa Ayman Ali Hamed, Faculty of Law, and Abdel Rahman Maged Fathy Khalifa, Faculty of Agriculture.
Otherwise, Dr. Mohamed Abdelaal, Vice President of the University for Education and Students’ Affairs, points out that the conditions for participating in the projects are that the team should consist of (3-5) individuals, ranging in age from (18-24) years, and proof of a register of civic participation, volunteering, or joining any non-academic community activity (if any), and readiness to commit to the National Population Program for a period of 4 months, taking into account the dates of the semester and exams, and the compatibility of training schedules with university lecture schedules for students.
