Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, indicates that the ranking this year shows the university’s progress in 6 of the 17 sustainable development goals over the previous year, which is an achievement for the university’s administration and family, as the university advances in the second goal (Total elimination of hunger) and ranks No 101-200 globally, and in the third goal on good health, it ranks No 401-600 globally, and in the seventh goal on clean energy it ranks No 301-400 globally. In the eleventh goal (sustainable local cities and communities), it ranks No 201-300 globally, and in the fourteenth goal (life under water) it achieves the position No 101-200 globally. In the sixteenth goal (peace, justice, and strong institutions), the university ranks No 301-400, and this progress achieved by the university is due to the university administration taking many corrective measures in this regard.
On the other hand, Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, explains the importance of Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for the Sustainable Development Goals, which depends on the extent to which the university achieves the 17 sustainable development goals, explaining that the university advances in the ranking of 6 goals over last year, confirming that Kafrelsheikh University’s success in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings for the Sustainable Development Goals is a testimony to the university’s keenness and effective implementation of the sustainable development goals.
