“Promoting the Culture of Volunteer Work with Dignified Life Initiative”

Under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Abd El-Fattah Halil, Dean of the Faculty, the Faculty of Engineering organizes an educational awareness symposium to enhance the volunteer work efforts of university youth in the presidential initiative “A Dignified Life”, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Rushdy El-Adawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Postgraduate Studies and Research - General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University; Mr. Islam Jabr, Coordinator of the Initiative in Kafrelsheikh Governorate; Prof. Dr. Fath Allah Selim, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, staff members and a number of students and volunteers of Dignified Life Youth.

Dr. Halil adds that the presidential initiative is working on a comprehensive reconstruction of urbanization and people, to achieve the sustainable development goals of Egypt's Vision 2023, and the work of the "Dignified Life" Foundation with the participation of 23 civil society organizations and thousands of youth volunteers at the level of the Republic.

Prof. Dr. Rushdy El-Adawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture for Postgraduate Studies and Research - General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University, explains the positives of volunteer work and urges students to participate in volunteering in the work of the Presidential Initiative, A Dignified Life.

Dr. El-Adawy points out that the idea of organizing educational dialogue symposiums is within the framework of mutual coordination and joint work between the university administration and the Dignified Life Foundation, and that these symposiums emphasize the close work between the various parties in various fields that serve development in the villages and cities of Kafrelsheikh Governorate.

Mr. Islam Gabr, coordinator of the initiative in Kafrelsheikh Governorate, reviews the achievements of the Dignified life Foundation, as the foundation targets the villages of Egypt to achieve justice among citizens by providing services easily and conveniently within the villages and working on the development axis of infrastructure and human building by establishing health units, educational and cultural units, traffic, police and technological units.

 

On the sidelines of the symposium, a documentary film is shown of the most important achievements of the Dignified Life Foundation, and a discussion is opened between the lecturers and students, who praise the initiative and its achievements on the ground.
