The president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary receives
Carolyn Coke, British Consul-General, Asmaa Freij, the political attaché; Omar
el Messiri, the commercial attaché in consulate in Alexandria as part of
several visits organized by British embassy in Alexandria to explore potential
commercial opportunities in the Egyptian market and the extent of what can be
provided by the university in this area.
As well, the president mentions that the
university policy is based on linking the university to the field of industry
as it is the house of experience for industry cities in Baltim and Motobas as
well as it aims to connect its students with the outside market to participate
in solving the problem of unemployment by establishing factory indie every
faculty as factory is established in the Faculty of Agriculture and is about to
establish another one in the Faculty of Science and meat production factory in
the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Otherwise, the role of university links to local
community as the university cooperates with governorate particularly in the
field of health, literacy and violence against woman as well as the problem of
water and energy as laboratory for renewable energy is established in the
Faculty of Science which is the number one in Egypt which gives license of recoverable
bulbs LED, energy-saving. The finishing of university hospital is the biggest
challenges for university in solving the health problems of governorate which
is the biggest dream for the people of governorate as well as the completion of
university health system after the establishment of new five faculties.
Also, the president mentions that there is
permanent contact with businessmen in the field of industry for the service of
community and a committee is formed to solve the crisis of confidence between
industry and university
On the other hand, the delegation visits the
faculties of Medicine, Physical Therapy, Sportive Education and Science;
everyone has impressed from implementation and equipment which has the
characteristics of international quality and compete with all universities
inside and outside.
The consul has expressed her admiration of
constructions, organization and green spaces as well as modern laboratory
equipment, auditoriums and facilities prepared for students with disabilities.
