Nomination for Short-Term Missions for Six Months for Training or Research

The minister of higher education agrees on Thursday 5 March 2013 as the following:

1)      The allocation of 10 short-term missions for every university for six months for assistant professors, lecturers and assistant lecturers in universities and authorities listed in mission plan for training to raise the efficiency and completion of staff members in these authorizes as well as train on the latest fields and access to the latest scientific findings in their specialties.

2)      Each authority will determine important specialisms according to their mission, strategies and determine the candidates whom should meet the terms of missions, that each authority will send the files of candidates including required training plan and rudimentary booking of university abroad to the general mission for missions.

The terms:

1)      Staff members and assistant staff should be (assistant lecturers, lecturers and assistant professors) in one of authorities listed in missions plan.

2)      Nomination should be under the supervision of host authority according to numbers assigned; the age of assistant lecturers should be 30 years old; lecturers should be 40 years old and 45 years old for assistant professors

3)      They can waive determined age (two years) according to the needs of host authority and public interest.

4)      The nomination is for who obtain doctorate from home or abroad either at the expense of missions or at their own expense for lectures and assistant professors.

5)      Holding linguistic level (grade 500) in international TOEFL at least or (61) in IBT or (5) in IELTS (for assistant lecturers) as well as for who obtain Doctorate from home not abroad, but who obtain Doctorate abroad exempt from this as well as who had travelled in mutual supervision missions or internal missions before obtain Doctorate from home.

6)      He/she should have an initial acceptance from one of supervisor professors to conduct training or research under his/her supervision.

1)      Military status

2)       Copy of ID card

3)      Letter of place reservation

4)      Data form in English and another in Arabic

5)      The approval of host authority for applying for mission

6)      TOEFL Certificate of IELTS (for assistant lecturers)

7)      Master's Degree MSC or MA (for assistant lecturers)

8)      Doctorate Certificate (for lectures and assistant professors)
