Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Dosouky, President of the University, announces the emergence of the university in the Spanish Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, according to the research citations for the July 2022 edition, according to Google Scholar, the scholar.
Dr. Desouky states that Kafrelsheikh University jumped to the 13th position at the level of Egyptian universities and advanced 109 places globally, ranking 1707 globally, and appeared in this ranking with a total number of 74,779 research citations, as the classifier ranks more than 30 thousand universities and scientific institutions around the world.
He explains that the Spanish ranking WebMetrix is an initiative of (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain, and according to the new version of this ranking, the Foundation issues its version for the year 2022 for the best universities according to quotations in Google Scholar profiles.
The President says that the Webometrics ranking is a well-known global ranking that relies on its evaluation of educational and research services for universities via four sub-indicators. The first indicator is related to the quality of published researches on behalf of the university in global scientific journals, the second indicator measures the availability of internationally classified educational and research resources on the university’s website, the third indicator is concerned with the university’s global influence through references around the world to the university’s website, and the fourth indicator is related to the presence of the university and its faculties on the web via linked databases and the number of pages that provide services to university employees.
