It has ranked the first locally, the second in the Arab World , and 52 globally among 516 universities worldwide as a green university that pays attention to environmental  standards in “global green Metric” ranking issued on December 28, 2016, which  classifies the universities in terms of the sustainability of their operations and their commitment to clean environmental  standards.
