Smart Systems; Data Mining (Application & Trends)’ symposium
Under the patronage of Prof Dr. Maged el Kemary, Kafrelsheikh University; the Faculty of Computing and Information organized today Wednesday 6 /12/2017 scientific symposium entitled “Smart Systems: Data Mining ( Application & Trends which conducted by Prof Dr. Abu el Alaa Atifi, Founder and Head of Egyptian Research Scientific Group . Prof Atifi give an overview about the importance of Data mining, knowledge extraction; and the unprecedented volume of information that has not seen before. He pointed out that these process led to an increase in the need to develop tools having a power to analyze data, extract knowledge and information; where the traditional and statistical methods cannot deal with this huge amount of data, therefore the use of smart tools are needed to process this data.
In this regards, Prof Dr Maged el Kemary mentioned that he began to use data mining in the late 1980s; as it became one of the successful solutions in analyzing large amounts of data by its conversion from mere data that are accumulated and incomprehensible to valuable information that can be exploited and beneficial for the progress and development of countries and communities. Otherwise, data mining possess a great interest at the international and global level for its extreme importance.
The symposium was attended by Prof Dr Abed el Raziq Dousouki, vice president for Education and Students’ Affairs; Prof Dr. Osama Abu Sida, Dean of Faculty of Computing and Information & Academic staff
