Today, Tuesday, the University Council, headed by Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouki, President of the University, holds its regular session in the Council Hall to discuss a number of topics related to the educational and research process, and to review the developments and topics presented to the Council, in the presence of Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafrelsheikh; Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs; Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Dr. Ali Sabry, Secretary-General of the University, the deans, and the Counselor Abd Allah Ghallab, the legal advisor of the university.
During the council meeting, Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, confirms that the University is working hard to begin establishing the new Ahlia University next year and to work on preparing new study programs that suit the needs of the labor market.
The Governor of Kafrelsheikh adds that they have contributed to the opening of a number of sites in the governorate, the most important of which was the opening of the King Fouad train station, which was transformed into a postal center after its restoration and return to its previous era. This opening is witnessed by the Ministers of Transport and Communications; work will also be resumed on the Sakha Overpass Bridge, which will serve the traffic situation in the governorate. The trial operation of the Bella Central Hospital and the Oncology Hospital has also been carried out, and their operation has greatly contributed to serving a large segment of citizens. They also seek to develop the Motobas Central Hospital in an unprecedented manner. At the end of his speech, he thanks the members of the University Council and expresses his great happiness at his continued presence in any events taking place at Kafrelsheikh University.
The President reviews the issues related to the educational process, in which the Council approved the appointment to the position of professor for four staff members in the Faculties of Arts, Agriculture, and Science, and the appointment to the position of assistant professor for five staff members in the Faculties of Physical Education, Computers and Information, Dentistry, Engineering, and Commerce and the appointment to the position of lecturer for four members of the assistant staff in the Faculties of Science, Agriculture, and Medicine.
The Kafrelsheikh University Council also approves the granting of doctoral degrees to 16 researchers in the Faculties of Physical Education, Pharmacy, Science, Medicine, Education, and Arts as well as Master’s degrees are also granted to 28 researchers in the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine, Commerce, Fisheries, Medicine, Arts, Science, Physical Education, Education, and Agriculture.
The University Council also approves granting a professional doctorate degree to a researcher in the Faculty of Commerce, and granting a professional master’s degree to 25 researchers in the Faculty of Commerce.
