1- Enabling students to develop their own knowledge and skills that necessary to succeed in their university studies.
2- Providing students with a broad understanding of the various species of existing and extinct animals, and their interactions with the environment.
3- Demonstrating to the students the wide range of solutions that animals have developed to deal with their environment.
4- Enabling students to follow a scientific approach to the acquisition, analysis and interpretation of data.
5- Fostering the development of students as critical, objective, mature and independent individuals.
6- Enhancing students' employability, especially in the field of Zoology, and for related postgraduate studies.
7- Graduating students who are able to compete in the labor market and absorb advanced modern technology.
8- Developing the use of theoretical applications in addressing environmental problems, especially in the branches of physiology, invertebrates, environmental sciences, genetics, molecular biology, entomology, and parasitology.
9- Developing the ability to view international and local specialization developments.
