The Times Higher Education World University Ranking: Kafrelsheikh University Tops the Egyptian Universities in Engineering


 The President Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Dosouky announces that the university achieved advanced positions in The Times Higher Education World University Rankings according to the topics for the year 2021, and Kafrelsheikh University appeared among the best 400 universities in the field of engineering and ranked No 301-400 globally and the first locally with Aswan, Beni Suef, Menoufia and Zagazig Universities among the 21 Egyptian universities in this ranking.

Prof. Dr. Hasan Younis, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, explains that The Times Higher Education World University Ranking is one of the best international rankings and is based on major indicators with a number of detailed sub-criteria, including the areas of: education, “educational environment”, scientific research “volume of published research, income from researches and reputation”, Citations “Research Impact”, International Relations “staff members, Students and Researches”, and Industry Entry “Knowledge Transfer from Innovations and Patents”.

As well, the president indicates that this ranking is a strong international recognition of the university's development in education and scientific research, pointing out that international rankings contribute significantly to improving the international reputation of the university in particular and Egypt in general in the field of higher education and scientific research.

The President confirms the optimization of the scientific devices in the faculties and central laboratories of the university to encourage applied scientific research and international scientific publishing, application for competitive projects locally and internationally, and meet the requirements of international rankings.

 

Dr. Desouky adds that the progress made by the university in the international rankings is the result of the efforts of the university administration, thanking the academic leaders of the university, staff members, assistant staff, researchers, scholars, the administrative staff, employees and those in charge of the ranking.
