Prof. Dr. Abdel Razek Desouky, President of the University, participated in the session of the periodic meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities at Luxor University, headed by Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mostafa Refaat, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, members of the Council, and presidents of public universities.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Council thanked the family of Luxor University, headed by Prof. Dr. Hamdy Mohamed Hussein, for hosting the meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities.
The President of the University stated that the importance of continuing the efforts of universities during the second semester in implementing and implementing executive plans for cultural, artistic and sports activities was discussed, for their effective role in developing students’ skills in all fields, and developing students’ understanding of the contemporary challenges facing the country, as well as interest in holding cultural seminars and workshops. The work aimed at developing national awareness among students and combating abnormal concepts and ideas. He also directed an increase in the efforts of universities in eradicating illiteracy in cooperation with the Public Authority for Adult Education. To activate the role of universities in community service and environmental development.
