Kafrelsheikh University council agrees under the authority of the president Prof Dr Maged el Kemary to establish the Faculty of Languages as a result of the growing demand for the Higher Education in quantity and quality and the increase of social awareness for the importance of enrollment on this faculty from the students of high school especially the students of literary department as the learning of foreign languages has become a necessity of modern life and the language is one of elements of the development of education and one of basic skills for the requirements of job market of twenty-first century. The council also decides to specialize a building for the faculty inside the campus, furnish and equip it with languages labs and simultaneous translation laboratory.

Within the social responsibility of the university and the completion of medical specialists of the university hospital, the council agrees to establish a unit for the treatment of tumors in annex building of the university hospital to provide health services for the patients of tumors with high, safe and comfortable quality according to internationally accepted guidelines and new technologies. The council also agrees to buy a linear accelerator device which is the basis for the treatment of tumors and gamma Naif device which uses triple radiation that reaches the tumor inside the brain for the treatment of cancerous tumors without surgery. According to the reports of World Health Organization, the cancer is one of the main causes of deaths around the world.

As well, the president mentions that we are racing against time to equip the university hospital as the university decides to postpone its trail opening to the next June because of bureaucracy of executing company and the delay of some factories in supplying some diagnostic and therapeutic devices and electricity panels because of dollar crisis. A majority of X-ray equipment and especially CT device are installed and magnetic resonance device 3 Tesla is currently equipped by engineers from Switzerland in preparation for the installation and operation of the device. Otherwise, the president mentions that there is a shortage in nursing staff and appeals the Minister of Health to meet the needs of the university from the graduates of the Faculties of Nursing until we can run the university.
