The university participates in the activities of the Cultural Leaders Salon for students of universities and higher institutes - a dialogue forum for building awareness, under the patronage of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education; Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdelaal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Rushdy El-Adawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University, and implemented by the Department of Families and Student Unions in the General Administration of Student Welfare.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, points out that the forum is held within the framework of implementing the Ministry's strategy to raise students' awareness at all levels and enhance their participation in national issues, within the framework of the state's vision to empower youth and protect them against extremist ideology. He confirms the importance of awareness-building programs for students launched by the Ministry of Higher Education in cooperation with the Leadership Development Institute in Helwan, pointing out the University's keenness to provide full support to students participating in these forums and the importance of disseminating awareness and strengthening the values ??of loyalty and belonging among them.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdelaal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, also confirms the university's full support for student participation in all student activities that build awareness and enhance students' constructive leadership potential to address national and regional challenges.
The forum includes workshops, discussion sessions, and free tours of heritage sites to shape the awareness of Egyptian youth. The forum is organized by the Student Activities Sector and the Leadership Development Institute at the Institute's headquarters, and is attended by Dr. Karim Hammam, the Minister's Advisor for Student Activities and Director of the Institute, the artist Sameh Hussein, and a group of students from public, national, technological, and private universities, as well as higher institutes.
The forum also includes lectures that contributed to developing students' political and national culture. Most notable among these are a lecture on Egyptian national security and the dangers of extremist ideology, and another on leadership skills in innovative environments. A detailed presentation of the strategic plan for Drug Control Fund at Universities and Institutes is also presented, ensuring students truly engage with societal issues.
