Today, Tuesday, 29/10/2024, the University Council, headed by Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, and in the presence of Major General Dr. Alaa Abd El-Moaty, Governor of Kafrelsheikh, holds its regular session, in the Council Hall to discuss a number of topics related to the educational and research process, and to review the developments and topics presented to the Council.
The Governor of Kafrelheikh confirms his constant keenness to be present at Kafrelsheikh University, as it is the head of the war and the scientific arm of the governorate, which is a source of pride for us to have a university like Kafrelsheikh University with all its weight and distinction, hoping that the streets and squares of the governorate would become as beautiful and clean as Kafrelsheikh University.
The Governor of Kafrelsheikh says that they are responsible for solving all the problems facing the citizens of the governorate, no matter how difficult they are. They are working hard to overcome all obstacles and make things easier for the citizens, adding that they always strive to work with the best quality they have and with all their strength without fear for the sake of the renaissance and development of Kafrelsheikh Governorate, which makes us constantly desire to make a big leap in the governorate by paying attention to investment projects and investors to establish projects whose primary goal is to serve all the people of the governorate.
He concludes his speech by saying that they are responsible for every individual in Kafrelsheikh Governorate, and therefore they always strive to go out to the streets and hear citizens’ complaints, in their desire to remove any harm or injustice that may befall them; and out of their keenness on the public benefit, they do their part at all levels in order to raise the status of their dear country.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, congratulates all members of the University Council on the occasion of the upcoming National Day of the Governorate, and the University’s achievement of advanced positions in the British Times Ranking and the Dutch Leiden Ranking, confirming that the University’s appearance in the prestigious international rankings is as a result of the diversity of scientific research in all fields of science and the keenness to publish in major international journals and institutional cooperation with everyone, as well as the result of implementing mechanisms and objectives set by the University to improve the rate of international ranking standards in it, according to the requirements of international ranking bodies, and the University’s support for its researchers.
He also congratulates Dr. Enas El-Gendy on the issuance of the presidential decree renewing her confidence as the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry for a second period, congratulates Dr. Mahmoud Awida as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, and congratulates Dr. Ahmed Zeina as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education.
The Council also approves:
- Granting academic titles and appointments: (granting 6 professor titles - appointing 5 assistant professors - appointing 3 lecturers).
- Granting a master's degree to 55 researchers, and granting a doctorate degree to 15 researchers.
- Granting a professional master's degree to 63 researchers, and granting a professional doctorate degree to 12 researchers.
- Granting a postgraduate diploma for qualitative programs for postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy to 68 researchers.
- Granting a postgraduate diploma in veterinary medicine to 28 researchers.
- Granting a postgraduate diploma at the Faculty of Science to 17 researchers.
- Granting a special diploma at the Faculty of Specific Education to 52 researchers.
