Kafrelsheikh University ranks the Second Place in the Research.com Ranking of Global Universities

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, announces that the university ranks the second place among Egyptian universities in the “Research.com ranking” of international universities for the year 2023, the first place in the number of researchers who meet the ranking criteria, equally with Cairo University, with a number of 8 researchers and the place 1248th at the level of international universities, which is an achievement for the university’s administration and family.

The university also obtains the first place in the various specializations according to this ranking in the specializations of Engineering and Technology, Environmental Sciences, Biology and Biochemistry, and Chemistry, the second place in the specialization of Animal Science and Veterinary, and the eighth place in the specialization of Computer Science.

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, points out that international rankings of universities are one of the most important means through which academic levels in the university education sector are judged according to standards and conditions that are determined with scientific objectivity. The “Research.com ranking” is one of the global rankings for judging objectively and transparently at the level of universities in the world, confirming the university’s interest in developing the scientific research system and supporting researchers with the necessary capabilities to increase the number of researches and international participation to achieve advanced positions in international rankings in the various specializations that are included in each ranking.

 

Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, says that the Research.com website’s ranking of the best international universities depends on the sum of the H-index values of all prominent researchers belonging to each university with a D-index (H-index for specialization) higher than (30) for his scientific specializations, which resulted in Kafrelsheikh University obtaining the first level at the level of Egyptian universities, with 8 researchers from the university in this ranking.
