The University Council

Today, Tuesday, April 30, 2024, the University Council, headed by Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, holds its regular session in the Council Hall to discuss a number of topics related to the educational and research process, and to review the developments and topics presented to the Council.

The President begins the Council by welcoming the distinguished members of the University Council, stressing some important points that are discussed at the Supreme Council of Universities, which includes preparing for the second semester exams for the current academic year 2023/2024, and the speed of the announcement of examinations well in advance, and the necessity of the presence of staff members and assistant staff at universities, to achieve discipline and the success of examination work, and to confirm that staff members are not allowed to travel during the examination period.

The President also congratulates the faculties that won the scientific publishing awards, which include the Faculties of “Agriculture, Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Science, Arts, Commerce, Specific Education, Physical Therapy, Dentistry, Computers and Information, Fisheries, Artificial Intelligence, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and the Institute of Nano Science and Technology,”  confirming the focus on scientific researches and ideas that can be transformed into innovations and applicable products that have an economic impact on society, as well as linking the research product to industry.

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, reviewes the report received from the committee formed by the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, regarding the result of the internal Egypt Award for Government Excellence competition for the faculties and institutes, which results in the Faculty of Pharmacy winning the first place, the Faculty of Arts winning the second place, and the Faculty of Physical Education in the third place. He congratulated the winning faculties that are qualified to upload their files to the platform of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development within the activities of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence at the national level.

The President also reviews the issues related to the educational process, in which the Council approves the appointment to the position of professor for 1 staff member at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, the appointment to the position of assistant professor for 2 staff members at the Faculties of Specific Education, Computers, and Information, and the appointment to the position of lecturer for 11 assistant staff at the Faculties of Medicine, Science, Agriculture, Arts, Pharmacy, and Nursing.

The Kafrelsheikh University Council also approves granting doctoral degrees to 23 researchers at the Faculties of Arts, Medicine, Commerce, Physical Education, Education, and Agriculture. Master's degrees are also awarded to 30 researchers at the Faculties of Arts, Veterinary Medicine, Physical Therapy, Fisheries, Specific Education, Engineering, Commerce, Physical Education, Education and Agriculture.

The University Council also approves granting professional doctorate degrees to 13 researchers at the Faculty of Commerce, and granting professional master’s degrees to 29 researchers at the Faculty of Commerce.

 

The University Council also approves granting a diploma in clinical pharmacy to 13 researchers at the College of Pharmacy, granting a professional diploma in human resources management to 2 researchers at the Faculty of Commerce, and granting a postgraduate diploma in nanoscience to a researcher at the Institute of Nanoscience and Technology.
