Today, Tuesday, the Council of Deans, headed by Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, holds its monthly meeting to discuss and review the monthly developments and topics presented to the Council, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Aal, Vice President of the University for Education and Students’ Affairs; Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Ali Sabry, Secretary-General of the University, and the deans.
The President directs the deans to include awareness programs that explain the dangers of electronic addiction and the ethical dimensions of using social networking sites. He also points to introducing the Unit for Combating Violence against Women and the activities and services it provides within the university.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky stresses the need to intensify efforts to participate in the advancement of the national literacy project to achieve distinguished results in line with the sustainable development goals of Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The President also directs the necessity of continuing work towards improving the educational process, linking educational outcomes to the requirements of the labor market and development needs, and developing new multidisciplinary study programs that are appropriate for the jobs in various economic sectors within the strategic plan of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, also confirms the encouragement of providing applied researches in the fields of artificial intelligence, paying attention to various applications for people of determination, and working to try to include the uses of artificial intelligence in academic fields in a manner consistent with the nature of the field of specialization, technological innovations, and electronic innovations in each specialization.
The Council of Deans also confirms the continued follow-up of the activity of the community service and environmental development sector, and its role in the field of literacy and adult education, as well as organizing and launching comprehensive development convoys for the neediest villages within the presidential initiative, A Dignified Life.
