Today, Monday, the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, receives, at the headquarters of the Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar, Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, during his visit to the Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, to sign a cooperation protocol between Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and Kafrelsheikh University; In implementation of the state’s plan for sustainable development and achieving Egypt’s Vision 2030.
In this context, Prof. Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy and General Supervisor of Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa, on behalf of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, Vice President of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, signs a joint cooperation protocol with Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouki, President of the University, in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Abd El-Aal, Vice President for education and student affairs; with the aim of contributing to disseminating true religious awareness among young people, listening to them and answering what is on their minds, through activating the initiatives of the Al-Azhar International Center for Awareness and Educational Electronic Fatwa, and joint implementation of the center’s specialized courses, within the corridors of Kafrelsheikh Scientific, Administrative and Medical University and its university cities, and the joint implementation of scientific and community conferences that support the preservation of our culture and identity and the stability of Egyptian society, in addition to benefiting from modern technological technologies in all areas of artificial intelligence, to support fatwa and humanitarian work and community awareness through analyzing big data and monitoring phenomena and ideas; to find ways to solve in different societies.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, stated that this protocol is within the framework of the mission and vision that both parties seek to achieve, with the aim of correcting concepts and disseminating awareness, as the will of the two parties converges to cooperate in all scientific, social and technical fields that serve societal issues and confront the chaos of fatwas, contributes to further improving the fatwa work in light of the changes and developments of the times, through modern technological means and artificial intelligence, as well as the societal role of the reunification unit and family and community awareness programs, and carrying out the responsibility towards Egyptian society to achieve greater stability.
Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy and General Supervisor of Al-Azhar International Center for Monitoring and Electronic Fatwa, confirms the keenness of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif Foundation as a Jamie and University, headed by the Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, to cooperate with all Egyptian universities for the benefit of the nation and the citizen, pointing out that educational and cultural institutions have a great responsibility to disseminate correct religious awareness.
After signing the protocol, the Kafrelsheikh University delegation is accompanied by Prof. Dr. Nazir Ayyad, Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy and General Supervisor of the Al-Azhar International Center for Monitoring and Electronic Fatwa and Dr. Osama Al-Hadidi, Director General of Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa, on an inspection tour of the center, and they brief the delegation on the center’s departments and operating units, and its most important scientific, fatwa, and service activities and products.
