The university, in cooperation with the administration of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, begins the evaluation procedures for the Internal Excellence Award at Kafrelsheikh University in the period from 15 to 30 October 2023, which continues over a period of fifteen days, in accordance with the standards set by the administration of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, confirms that the launch of the internal awards system is with the aim of developing human capabilities, creating a qualitative shift in institutional performance, and working to qualify the university to participate in the national award, “Egypt Award for Government Excellence.”, explaining that the award creates an atmosphere of positive, effective and constructive competition and works to consolidate the principles and values of excellence within the university, indicating that the objectives of the award are to achieve better rates of satisfaction for citizens, employees, with changing the philosophy of government work and spreading the culture of quality and excellence at the level of the state’s administrative apparatus, while enhancing the spirit of innovation and creativity and rewarding excellence in Egyptian society.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouki, President of the University, states that the evaluators are selected from the university’s administrative staff from those holding master’s and doctorate degrees, and in accordance with the criteria set by the administration of the Egypt Award for Government Excellence.
Moreover, Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, indicates that the university has trained a team for the university and excellence ambassadors for faculties and evaluators, and it is currently beginning evaluation procedures for faculties within Kafrelsheikh University, confirming that the award administration would provide all means of technical support to the university and follow up on its internal excellence journey in all technical stages of qualifying internal evaluators, final evaluation, arbitration, and approving the results, within the framework of emphasizing deepening this culture, as well as contributing to achieving transparency, governance, and integrity of all stages of the award.
