Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, announces that Kafrelsheikh University wins the first place in the second session of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, at the level of Kafrelsheikh Governorate, in the large projects category, the first place in the small local projects category (a dignified life), the first place in the community initiatives and participations category (non-profit), the first place in the category of development projects related to women, climate change and sustainability, which were carried out under the supervision of Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.
Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky also indicates that Kafrelsheikh University wins ten places out of a total of 18 centers at the governorate level, stressing that this initiative is in implementation of the directives of the political leadership and in fulfillment of the efforts aimed at achieving sustainable development in the context of implementing Egypt’s Vision 2030 by preserving the environment to improve the quality of life and take into account the rights of future generations.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, directs the need to pay attention to mechanisms for disseminating the culture of climate change, green transformation, and sustainability at the university, and to increase students’ awareness of climate change and expand their circle of awareness and culture, through organizing seminars, lectures, and workshops related to environmental and climate issues, and implementing research projects.
