The university ranks the Second Place in THE World University Rankings 2024 at the level of Egyptian Universities.

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouki, the President, announces that the university appeared in position 1000-800 in THE World University Rankings 2024, which is issued annually. Thus, Kafrelsheikh University maintained the second level among the 29 Egyptian universities included in this ranking. This is an achievement for the university administration and family.

Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky points out that the university ranks No 410 in the field of scientific research worldwide (Research Quality). This progress achieved by the university is due to the university administration taking many corrective measures in this regard, such as scientific research policies, increasing its funding, increasing scientific cooperation with industry to provide innovative solutions, in addition to cooperation with researchers from different countries of the world and the quality of joint research, which gives the opportunity to publish in high-impact journals, which led to increasing the rate of research productivity and recording a large number of citations.

The president explains that this ranking is one of the best international rankings and is based in evaluating the best international universities on 5 main areas: teaching “learning environment” 30%, and scientific research “volume or rate of research productivity, research income, reputation” 30%, reference citations include “research impact” 30%, status “international “reputation” international students, international professors, international cooperation” 7.5%, application in industry “income from industry” and “knowledge transfer” 2.5%, via 13 performance indicators related to teaching, scientific research, knowledge transfer, and international questionnaires.

 

Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, says that the University is keen to encourage and support staff members and the assistant staff to publish their productions in major international journals classified in global databases.
