Kafrelsheikh University, with a student delegation, participates in the activities of the first forum for social leadership, entitled "Ambassadors of Social Work", which is organized by the Leadership Development Institute at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, from July 30 to August 2, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University; Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Ali Sabry, Secretary General of the University, and the supervision of Dr. Rushdy Al-Adawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University; Dr. Hana Tantawy, Director of the Social Activity Department at the General Administration of Youth Welfare, and the delegation’s supervisor, Dr. Dalia Khattab, a teacher at the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Youssef Desouky, President of the University, stresses the importance of participating in student forums to develop leadership skills and social thinking among young people, which contributes to creating an informed generation and positive models in society, enhancing the role of youth in implementing the national presidential initiatives and achieving the goals of sustainable development, and employing social thinking among young people in implementing social initiatives inside and outside the university.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, indicates that the forum discusses the role of students in implementing and achieving the goals of the presidential national initiatives and confirming the importance of teamwork as one of the main pillars for achieving sustainable development, adding that the forum aims to exchange experiences and knowledge among students, develop their leadership and social thinking skills, as well as motivating them to achieve positive change in their communities.
It is worth noting that the forum includes a number of lectures and workshops related to the topics around which the forum revolves, as the forum discusses the initiatives of the Ministry of Youth and Social Sports, and also deals with the national project to preserve the entity of the Egyptian family, “Mawada”. It also includes workshops on social leadership skills, and self-workshops on students' creativity in how to employ social initiatives within their universities.
