Today, Tuesday, the Council of Deans holds its monthly meeting, headed by Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, to discuss and review the monthly developments and issues presented to the Council, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs; Dr. Ismail Al-Qon, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Ali Sabry, Secretary General of the University, and the deans of faculties.
The president starts the council by congratulating the council of deans on the victory of Kafrelsheikh University in the second place at the level of Egyptian universities in the British Times ranking of newly established universities internationally, which were established within 50 years or less, wishing for more excellence and achievements during the coming period in all fields and international rankings, confirming that the university has the capabilities that qualify it to continue progressing to the highest levels.
Subsequently, the Deans’ Council discusses the follow-up of the work of postgraduate examinations in the faculties, stressing the provision of the necessary conditions to improve the workflow and discipline for the academic year 2022/2023, and ensuring adherence to the exam performance controls and taking all measures that ensure the creation of a suitable environment for postgraduate students within the committees, providing all means of comfort, safety and support for them, maintaining the calm and discipline of the committees, and providing all services and all facilities for students to help them perform exams easily.
The President confirms the follow-up of the educational process in the summer semester at the university’s faculties and the completion of all necessary preparations and supplies according to the announced time plan, and within the framework of the university’s strategy aimed at providing an academic environment that helps students excel.
The Council of Deans stresses the university’s keenness to continue active participation in medical convoys, which are not limited to being medical, but rather educational and service-oriented, aiming at effective community participation, to continue to monitor the activity of the community service and environmental development sector, and his role in the field of literacy and adult education, as well as organizing and launching comprehensive development convoys for the most needy villages within the presidential initiative, a dignified life.
The Council also discusses the preparation of annual maintenance plans for the auditoriums, laboratories and facilities in preparation for the new academic year 2023/2024, the speedy completion of the annual reports of the various faculties and sectors of the university, and the updating of all regulations that have passed for a period of time exceeding five years.
