The curtain comes down on the university’s theatrical forum for the academic year 2022-2023, after ten days of distinguished performances, during which students competed in presenting their diverse talents in acting, directing, decoration, theatrical text, hair, make-up, clothes, singing and music, as the forum provides an opportunity for 10 faculties to present their ideas and opinions through a good theatrical text and with a jury that includes elite experts in the theatrical field, under the patronage of Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of Kafrelsheikh University, and Dr. Mohammed Abd El Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, praises all the theatrical performances presented by male and female students during the theatrical meeting for the current academic year, and indicates that the university is working to provide a creative, artistic, training and fair environment for students. The university also attaches wide importance to the theater as a collector of arts and rebuilds the imagination and conscience, as it combines visual spatial arts and temporal audio arts and includes all applied and other arts, and theater is the father of arts that began with the Pharaonic Theater in the courtyards of the temples.
The president confirms that Kafrelsheikh University pays great attention to theatrical activity in general and the university theater in particular, for its great role in discovering young talents, embracing them and supporting their abilities, and raising students’ awareness of the importance of theater and its purposeful message, which contributes strongly to enlightenment and upgrading the human being culturally and intellectually, which in turn contributes to the advancement of society as a whole.
For his part, Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Aal, Vice President for Education and Students’ Affairs, says that the theatrical forum jury, which includes Dr. Osama Hussein, musician and composer, Mohamed Al-Afi, director and theater critic, and Amira Kamal, a theatrical decorator, decides that the Faculty of Pharmacy wins the first place for the play Brightness 56, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine wins the second place for the play They Play, and the Faculty of Nursing wins the third place for the play Tell Ya Shahrzad, and he congratulates the winning faculties in the first places, praising all the theatrical performances presented by the students during the forum.
