The General Administration for Student Welfare – Scouting and Public Service Department, in cooperation with the Faculty of Nursing, organizes a specialized first-aid training course for male and female university scouts. The initiative reflects the university’s commitment to preparing highly qualified student cadres equipped with the essential skills to handle emergency situations while fostering leadership qualities and a sense of responsibility.

The program included a series of theoretical and practical sessions on advanced first-aid techniques and methods for managing various injuries until professional emergency teams arrive. Training is delivered by a select group of professors from the Faculty of Nursing, with the activities attended by Prof. Sabah Abu El-Fotouh, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing.

Prof. Ismail Ismail Ibrahim confirms the university’s strong focus on enhancing students’ skills, particularly in areas related to safety and assisting others. He states that this course is part of the university’s broader plan to support student activities that contribute to character building and enable students to serve their community effectively. He adds that the university is keen to provide high-quality training programs that prepare a generation capable of dealing with crises and unexpected situations, in line with the state’s directions and the sustainable development goals under the leadership of the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Otherwise, Prof. Rushdy El-Adawy, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and General Coordinator of Student Activities, explains that scouting activities are among the most important initiatives that develop cooperation, belonging, and responsibility among students while promoting the values of teamwork, volunteering, and public service. He notes that the course aims to refine the skills of rovers and guides by equipping them with specialized first-aid expertise—an essential component of scouting skills that every participant in the scouting movement should possess.
