The Social Activity Department of the General Administration of Student Welfare organizes the educational program for family and community awareness with the slogan (Stable Family = Safe Society), in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports "Central Administration for Youth Development" and the Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, which is held at the Faculties of (Nursing - Agriculture - Veterinary Medicine) at the university, under the patronage of the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif; Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports; Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdelaal, Vice President of the University for Education and Students’ Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Rushdy Al-Adawy, General Coordinator of Student Activities at the University, and the implementation and follow-up of the Social Activity Department of the General Administration of Student Welfare at the University.
Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, points out that the aim of these seminars is to correct misconceptions among young people, disseminate community and family awareness, strengthen the structure of the Egyptian family and increase its cohesion and solidarity, educate university students about the most important contemporary societal issues, and disseminate awareness of the importance of preserving the Egyptian family, its cohesion and stability, in order to maintain a safe society and strong generations capable of driving the locomotive of development and progress, and finding solutions to reduce the phenomena of domestic violence and crime in society, and protect our children from falling victim to extremist ideas, which aim to influence their identity and belonging.
Otherwise, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdelaal, Vice President of the University for Education and Students’ Affairs, confirms that the university organizes family and community awareness campaigns, seminars and programs, due to their importance and impact on the stability of Egyptian society, through strengthening family ties and correct community awareness, in line with the state’s interest in such campaigns, to protect the Egyptian family and society from external influences and ideas.
