Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, states that the University’s participation in these events is within the framework of public diplomacy activities organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration to interact with Egyptian youth to discuss the priorities and challenges of Egyptian foreign policy.
Otherwise, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdelaal, Vice President of the University for Education and Students’ Affairs, points out that the event includes several sessions throughout the day with a number of the Minister’s assistants and their deputies, which address developments in Egyptian relations with Arab, African and European countries, in addition to meetings with the economic and human rights sectors, as students have the opportunity to hold meetings with the Ministry’s sectors to learn about the nature of Egyptian diplomacy. A special session is arranged for students to review the conditions and criteria for joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The opening session of the event is attended by Dr. Badr Abd El-Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, who expresses his happiness for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to host Egypt's promising youth, confirming the ministry's keenness to interact with young people from all governorates of Egypt and to hold an interactive dialogue with them about Egyptian foreign policy, especially within the exceptional challenges that the region has been suffering from in recent years. He reviews the active moves made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in various files that are at the top of Egyptian diplomacy's priorities, pointing to the unprecedented regional crises surrounding Egypt, which require effective and wise engagement to deal with these challenges. He also listens to the youth's opinions regarding developments in the region and their proposals and visions on ways to deal with them.
