Financial Grants for University Students within the “Productive Student” Initiative

 Within the framework of the Productive Student Initiative launched by the Ministry of Social Solidarity in Egyptian universities, which aims to support students who own small and micro enterprises, in an effort to empower them economically and maximize their societal role, under the patronage of Dr. Nevin Al-Qabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, and Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, and the supervision of Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Salah Hashem, Advisor of the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and in cooperation with the Environmental Projects Sector.

Committee for sorting project feasibility studies submitted by student project owners meets within the Productive Student Initiative, with the membership of Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Dr. Reda Saleh, former Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Dr. Sameh Abu Al-Dahab, Professor of Business Administration at the Faculty of Commerce, Kafrelsheikh University, and Mohamed Abd El-Hamid, Coordinator of the Social Solidarity Unit, to select the best 10 feasibility studies submitted by Kafrelsheikh University students, so that the Ministry of Social Solidarity can support them with a financial grant to finance the project.

Porf. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, stresses the importance of handicrafts and that they are fruitful projects for students and entrepreneurship, and that they are of great importance in society, as the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Kafrelsheikh University are interested in the Productive Student Initiative,  to prepare, qualify and train cadres of university students with the aim of empowering them economically, creating various job opportunities, and qualifying for the labor market via implementing small and micro projects and identifying methods and sources of financing them.

 

Prof. Dr. Amany Shaker, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, indicates that the best 10 feasibility studies submitted by Kafrelsheikh University students will be selected, so the Ministry of Social Solidarity will provide financing opportunities with a financial value ranging from 10,000 pounds to 15,000 pounds for one project, which contribute to motivating students to work, produce, and achieve financial independence from a young age, and provide ideas and feasibility studies for their applicability.
