The Department of Anatomy established in 2013
Anatomy is now taught in a manner that makes it clinically relevant and facilitates integration with other disciplines. Sub components of the discipline include gross anatomy, embryology and neuro anatomy which are covered in a manner that not only provides sufficient medical foundation but also makes them functionally relevant and of clinical significance. Students receive the most comprehensive exposure to Human anatomy through lectures, small group discussions and supervised practical classes that provide cadaveric material and models for the study of gross anatomy and neuro anatomy, bones for osteology and models for understanding embryology. Also, the museum resources together with multimedia provide opportunities for references as well as self-directed learning.
