Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, announces the conclusion of the International Middle East Conference on Electrical Power Systems “MEPCON 2022” in the twenty-third session, which is organized by the Faculty of Engineering at the University in one of the major hotels in Cairo, within the support of President Abd El-Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, supervised by Prof. Dr. Abd El-Fattah Halil, Dean of the Faculty and chairman of the Conference.
The president adds that the conference discusses 139 scientific research, through 35 scientific sessions and 6 public lectures, in addition to organizing a large exhibition for the sponsors of the conference.
The President confirms the keenness of the university administration to qualify its graduates for the local, regional and global labor market by updating study programs in line with global developments for the requirements of the labor market, indicating that the university aims to be not only a research university concerned with scientific research, but a university grants academic degrees.
Prof. Abd El-Fattah Halil, Dean of the Faculty and chairman of the Conference, points out the importance of the conference as it sheds light on the latest researches, studies and technologies in the field of electric power engineering, new and renewable energy, and discusses the most important issues related to the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity.
The conference is also an excellent international offer for the dissemination of original researches’ findings, new ideas, and practical development experiences that focus on both theory and practice for academics, researchers, engineers, and industry professionals.
The conference recommends emphasizing the importance of scientific research in the field of electromotive field to keep pace with the state’s requirements in this field due to the importance of this in the coming period in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030, and the importance of researches in electric cars and cars using clean energy.
Prof. Dr. Abd El-Fattah Halil, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and chairman of the Conference, presents the university shield to Prof. Dr. Mazen Abd El-Salam, representing the leadership committee of the conference. He also honors all the sponsoring companies, the Syndicate of Engineers in Kafrelsheikh, and members of the organizing committee of the conference.
