In the village of Shabas El-Shuhada and the neighboring villages in the Desouk center…. An Expanded Medical Convoy from the Council of Ministers, Kafrelsheikh University and Sonaa El-Khair Foundation

Under the patronage of the Prime Minister and the supervision of Major General Gamal Nour El-Din, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, and Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, the Supreme Medical Committee and SOS in the Council of Ministers and Kafrelsheikh University, in cooperation with the Directorate of Health Affairs in the governorate, organizes an expanded medical convoy to the most needy villages in order to treat patients who are unable to in the Specializations: “Ophthalmology - Dermatology - Cardiovascular - Pediatric - Neuro Surgery - Urology - Cardio-thoracic Surgery - Orthopedic Surgery - Internal Medicine - Diabetes and Endocrinology - General Surgery - Oto-Rhino-Laryngology (ENT) - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Dentistry – Prosthetics”.

The university invites all the people of the village of Shabas El-Shuhada and the neighboring villages in the Desouk center to benefit from the integrated services provided by the convoy, explaining the cooperation of the Council of Ministers via the Supreme Medical Committee and SOS, the university and the Sonaa El-Kheir Foundation for Development to support the health of our people in the various villages of the governorate, and that the convoy will be organized with complete cooperation with the Directorate of Health Affairs in Kafr El-Sheikh.

The President Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky says that the organization of medical and awareness convoys is held within the framework of the presidential initiative "A Dignified Life", to provide the best medical and treatment services to citizens, and as a continuation of the university's efforts in community participation and providing more medical services to the people of the governorate, in coordination and cooperation with the competent authorities.

Dr. Desouky adds that the medical convoy conducts medical examinations on 1822 cases by a group of specialized and distinguished doctors in various specialties, and medicines were given for free to all patients.

The president indicates that the comprehensive convoy within a dignified life is actively interested in developing health awareness under the supervision of specialized professors from the Faculties of Medicine, Nursing, and Dentistry. As well, the convoy also includes a private clinic from the Faculty of Nursing to measure blood sugar, weight, height, and blood pressure, and provides guidance to women and children in personal care and proper nutrition, while providing special awareness for the prevention of diabetes and pressure, how to take care of the diabetic foot and children's anemia, and guidance for women on reproductive health and children in proper nutrition to prevent malnutrition. The team of the Faculty of Dentistry also gave an awareness lecture to disseminate health awareness to care for the mouth and teeth and the methods used to prevent dental caries diseases and oral care in general.

 

Dr. Muhammad Shaaban, from the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, thanks those in charge of the convoy, Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky, President of the University, and the Sonaa El-kheir Foundation for Development for their interest and participation in providing medical services, medical examination and medicines, and listing any cases of operations for free in university hospitals for the people of the village of Shabas El-Shuhada and neighboring villages with guidance to overcome all obstacles and facilitate the work of the convoy.
