An Expanded Medical Convoy for the people of the village of "Shalma", Sidi Salem Center, as part of a "Dignified Life"

Under the Patronage of Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Dosouky, President of the University and Prof. Dr. Reda Saleh, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Kafrelsheikh University, organizes today, Thursday 19/5/2022, a medical convoy for the people of the village of Shalma and the neighboring villages of the Sidi Salem Center, one of the villages of the presidential initiative, a dignified life.

The Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy and Physical Therapy participate in the comprehensive convoy, and the convoy was supervised by Prof. Dr. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, a team from the General Administration of Youth Welfare at the university, and the Director General of the General Administration of Environmental Projects, Mr Nafeh Hamadah.

The President Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Desouky says that the organization of medical and awareness convoys is held within the framework of the presidential initiative "A Dignified Life", to provide the best medical and treatment services to citizens, and as a continuation of the university's efforts in community participation and providing more medical services to the people of the governorate, in coordination and cooperation with the competent authorities.

Dr. Desouky adds that the medical convoy conducts medical examinations on 1829 cases by a group of specialized and distinguished doctors in various specialties, and drugs were given for free to all patients.

The medical convoy includes the specialties of “Ophthalmology - Dermatology - Cardiovascular - Pediatric - Neuro Surgery - Urology - Cardio-thoracic Surgery - Orthopedic Surgery - Internal Medicine - Diabetes and Endocrinology - General Surgery - Oto-Rhino-Laryngology (ENT) - Obstetrics and Gynecology - Dentistry – Prosthetics”.

Prof. Reda Saleh, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, says that the convoy includes medical and nursing specialties, including examination, and free drugs for citizens in the health unit in Shalama village, and the neighboring villages of the local unit, Sidi Salem Center.

The Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development adds that the medical convoys organized by the university, represented by the health sector faculties, are one of the most important positive steps for the community in the various administrative centers of Kafrelsheikh Governorate, by providing distinguished medical services and alleviating the suffering of travel from remote areas.
