Today Monday 11/10/2021, under the patronage of the President Prof. Dr. Abdelrazek Dosouky, and Prof. Dr. Reda Saleh, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, the university, represented by the General Administration of Environmental Projects, organized an awareness campaign for university students in cooperation with Drug Control Fund in order to activate the cooperation protocol between the university and the Fund within the framework of the community service and environmental development sector plan, under the supervision and implementation of the Director General of Environmental Projects, Mr Nafeh Hamada Ali, and with the participation of the General Administration of Youth Welfare at the university represented by the scouting team and students for Egypt family.
An awareness campaign for the dangers of drug addiction was carried out on the occasion of the reception of the new academic year 2021/2022, in the presence of the head of Drug Control Fund in Kafrelsheikh, Dr. Salam Al-Araby. The fund team explained the effects of smoking and addiction on health and its damage to society economically, and that it drains the state's financial and health resources for university students.
The fund's team also distributes brochures to students, and awareness sessions were held to raise awareness of the dangers of drug addiction.
