Today Thursday 15/10/2020, under the patronage of the President Prof Dr Abed El-Raziq Desouki and in partnership with the Pharmacists Syndicate of Kafrelsheikh, Faculty of Pharmacy organizes its seventh scientific conference entitled "The Evolution of the Role of the Pharmacist in the 21st Century" in the presence of Prof Dr Mohammad Abed El-All, the vice president for education and students’ affairs; the deans; Dr Mohammad Fahmi, the head of the Pharmacists Syndicate and under the supervision of the dean of Faculty of Pharmacy Prof Dr Ramadan El-Doumani; Prof Dr Abed El-Aziz El-Ashmawy, the vice dean of the faculty and Dr Ahmed Amin, the conference rapporteur.
A number of Egyptian pharmacists' heads participate in the conference, including Dr Magdy Thabet, head of El-Qalyubia Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr Hani Dunya, head of El- Garbia Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr Essam Abul Fotouh, head of El-Sharqiya Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr. Mustafa Salam, head of Menoufia Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr Ali Hijab from the Qalioubia Syndicate Council, Dr. Nabil Mohy, the former dean of Faculty of Pharmacy at Kafrelsheikh Univeristy with the participation of 100 pharmacists and researchers.
As well, Prof Dr Ramadan El-Doumani, Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy, says that the conference includes many themes in health fields such as “new fields in the pharmacy profession, radiation and developments in its fields of treatment, immunizations and their role and the development of serums and vaccines to combat Corona, the role of the pharmacist in treating tumors, The role of nanotechnology and femto-technology in medicine and pharmacy”.
Otherwise, the president states that the conference aims to benefit from the application of scientific research results in the fields of pharmacy, medicine industry and other medical specialties for the service of the community of all groups, wishing success and coming up with recommendations that serve the educational process at the university.
Dr Desouky mentions that the university administration pays great attention to scientific research and that seminars, conferences and workshops are an important opportunity for scientific generations to meet, exchange experiences and scientific communication to reach the new, thanking all those in charge of the conference.
He pointed to the university’s keenness to develop the skills of staff members via continuous training to be reflected on university students, graduates and postgraduate students.
