Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid: The flag salute embodies the values of belonging and loyalty to the homeland… The university is preparing for a new year that places the student at the heart of the education, development, and human-building system.
Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid, President of the University, attends the flag salute ceremony coinciding with the launch of the activities of the new academic year 2026/2027, in a national atmosphere that reflected feelings of pride, belonging, and attachment to the homeland, with broad participation from the university’s faculties.
The “Students for Egypt” Family at Kafr El-Sheikh University actively participates in the flag salute ceremony, in a scene that reflects its pivotal role in supporting student activities and events, and in consolidating the values of belonging, citizenship, and teamwork among university students. The family is keen on positive participation in various university events and on contributing to the organization of initiatives and activities aimed at developing students’ skills, enhancing their awareness, and refining their personalities, in line with the university’s orientation toward building a generation of aware youth capable of assuming responsibility and actively participating in serving their homeland and society.
Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid affirms that the flag salute ceremony at the beginning of the academic year represents a highly important national and educational message, as it embodies the values of loyalty, belonging, and pride in national identity. He notes that the university’s mission is not limited to providing academic education alone, but extends to building the student’s integrated personality, enhancing their national awareness, developing their capabilities and skills, and preparing them for active participation in building the future of the homeland.
In his address, the President says: “We begin a new academic year raising Egypt’s flag high, affirming that knowledge, learning, and belonging to the homeland are the foundations upon which we build the future of our student sons and daughters. I call upon all students to make their new academic year a real starting point toward excellence, achievement, and realizing their ambitions.”
Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid adds that Kafrelsheikh University is keen to provide its students with an integrated university environment that combines quality education, scientific research, student activities, training, and skills-building, contributing to the preparation of a graduate who possesses knowledge and the ability to compete in the labor market, and who is capable of assuming responsibility and positively participating in serving their community and homeland.
Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid also addresses a message to the university students at the start of the academic year, saying: “My student sons and daughters… Make the university a space for learning, self-discovery, and building the future. Do not make obtaining a degree your only goal; rather, be keen to acquire knowledge, skills, and experiences, participate in student activities, and take advantage of every training opportunity or experience the university offers you.”
He affirms that the university continues to support student activities and youth initiatives, considering them one of the essential components in building the student’s personality, and praises the role played by the “Students for Egypt” Family in supporting events and student activities and in positive participation in university life.
