Kafrelsheikh University contributes to Crowning the “Artificial Intelligence for All – AI4ALL” Initiative with the First Place at the Level of Kafrelsheikh Governorate

In a new achievement that reflects the societal and pioneering role of Kafrelsheikh University in supporting youth and spreading the culture of artificial intelligence, the university contributed to the implementation of the “Artificial Intelligence for All – AI4ALL” initiative. The initiative is crowned with the first place at the level of Kafrelsheikh Governorate within the “we participate” program, implemented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). As a result, the initiative has qualified to represent the governorate at the national level.

This achievement affirms Kafrelsheikh University’s keenness to build bridges of cooperation with state institutions, support national initiatives aimed at building the Egyptian person, spread awareness of modern technology, and qualify youth with digital skills that keep pace with labor market requirements and the rapid transformations the world is witnessing in the fields of artificial intelligence and innovation.

As part of the university’s active participation in the initiative, Prof. Sayed Belal, Advisor of the President for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Affairs, coordinates the cooperation with the relevant entities, contributing to supporting the stages of implementing the initiative and enhancing integration between the academic side and the executive bodies.

Dr. Mahmoud Yassin Shams El-Din, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence for Postgraduate Studies and Research, represents Kafrelsheikh University on the scientific side of the initiative by supervising the scientific content and participating in the implementation of the training workshops. This reflects the distinguished scientific expertise possessed by the university and the pioneering role of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, as it is the first specialized faculty of artificial intelligence in Egypt and the Middle East.

Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid affirms that the university places community service and youth empowerment at the forefront of its priorities, and believes that integration between academic institutions and state institutions represents a fundamental pillar for building a generation capable of dealing with future changes and benefiting from modern technology tools.

The President explains that crowning the “Artificial Intelligence for All – AI4ALL” initiative with first place at the level of Kafrelsheikh Governorate represents a real fruit of the cooperation and integration between Kafrelsheikh University, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the participating entities. It reflects the university’s ability to employ its scientific and academic expertise in serving society and supporting national initiatives with sustainable impact.

Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid adds that spreading the culture of artificial intelligence and empowering youth with its tools and applications has become a necessity to keep pace with global transformations. He affirmed that the university works to expand the scope of benefiting from its scientific capabilities and academic expertise in a way that contributes to preparing youth who possess the knowledge and skills necessary to participate effectively in building the digital economy and shaping the future.

For his part, Prof. Sayed Belal, Advisor of the President for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Affairs, explains that the initiative’s obtaining the first place represents a successful model of cooperation between the university and executive bodies in implementing community initiatives based on scientific knowledge and aimed at achieving a real and sustainable impact.

The “Artificial Intelligence for All – AI4ALL” initiative aims to spread the culture of artificial intelligence and introduce various segments of society to its most important applications and tools, in addition to providing training content that helps participants employ these technologies in a practical, responsible, and safe manner.

The initiative also focuses on enhancing youth’s ability to benefit from artificial intelligence in multiple fields, including education, work, entrepreneurship, innovation, and daily life, contributing to building digital awareness capable of keeping pace with future requirements.

The crowning of the initiative with the first place at the level of Kafrelsheikh Governorate confirms the success of the partnership model between Kafrelsheikh University, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and UNICEF in supporting youth and spreading technological knowledge. It also represents an important step toward the initiative’s continuation of its journey and representing Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate at the national level.
