Distinguished Scientific Presence reflects the Leadership of Medical Education… Faculty of Medicine shines at the Student Conference of Faculty of Medicine, Benha University as Part of the Golden Jubi

The Faculty of Medicine participates with a distinguished scientific delegation in the events of the Student Conference of the Faculty of Medicine at Benha University, held as part of Benha University’s celebrations of its Golden Jubilee marking fifty years since its establishment. This participation is within the framework of strengthening academic cooperation and exchanging expertise among medical sector faculties in Egyptian universities.

This participation affirms the distinguished standing enjoyed by the Faculty of Medicine and the notable progress it has achieved in the fields of medical education and scientific research, as well as its continuous keenness to provide opportunities for its students and faculty members to take part in various scientific events and conferences. This contributes to refining their expertise and enhancing their research and academic capabilities.

The Faculty of Medicine delegation includes Dr. Marwa Ghallab, Director of the Medical Education Unit at the Faculty, who has a prominent presence at the conference through her participation in chairing the Medical Education session, in addition to chairing the Mental Health session, with the participation of a select group of professors, experts, and specialists from various Egyptian universities.

The Medical Education session witnesses rich scientific discussions that address the latest global trends in curriculum development, modern teaching strategies, assessment mechanisms, and ways to elevate the quality of medical education, in line with the rapid developments in medical sciences and enhancing the competence of graduates.

The Mental Health session also discusses a number of important issues related to supporting the mental health of medical students, creating a stimulating and safe educational environment, and strengthening the role of universities in spreading a culture of psychological awareness as one of the fundamental pillars for building a physician capable of giving and excellence.

The conference also witnesses distinguished scientific participation by a number of Faculty of Medicine students, who present scientific research that had previously been published in prestigious international journals with high impact factors. This reflects the advanced academic and research level reached by the faculty’s students and confirms the success of the faculty’s strategy in encouraging scientific research and international publication, as well as preparing a generation of physicians and researchers capable of competing in regional and international scientific forums.

In this context, Prof. Yahya Zakaria Eid affirms that the university attaches great importance to supporting its students and staff members in participating in scientific conferences and forums, based on its belief that scientific research and innovation represent the fundamental pillar for building universities capable of competing and achieving sustainable development.

The President adds that what the Faculty of Medicine delegation achieves reflects the distinguished level the university has reached in developing the medical education system. He points out that the university is working according to an ambitious vision aimed at preparing graduates who possess knowledge, skills, and the ability to innovate, and who are capable of competing locally, regionally, and internationally, in alignment with the objectives of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt’s Vision 2030.

For his part, Prof. Taha Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University Hospitals, expresses his pride in the commendable level demonstrated by the faculty’s delegation during the conference. He affirms that active participation in such scientific events represents an important opportunity to exchange expertise and stay abreast of the latest developments in the fields of medical education and scientific research.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine notes that the excellence of the faculty members and students—whether in managing the scientific sessions or in presenting internationally published research—reflects the significant efforts exerted by the faculty in developing the educational process, supporting young researchers, and consolidating a culture of innovation and excellence. This enhances the standing of the Faculty of Medicine at Kafrelsheikh University among Egyptian medical faculties and confirms its pioneering role in preparing medical and research cadres capable of serving the community and advancing the healthcare system.

 

The Faculty of Medicine concludes its participation by affirming its continued support for scientific and research activities and expanding the horizons of cooperation with various universities and academic institutions, in a manner that contributes to achieving its mission of excellence and innovation, and preparing physicians and researchers who possess scientific competence and the ability to lead the future of healthcare in Egypt.
